My new iPhone...

Not exactly a current event that is newsworthy, but it must be blogged about for an Apple blog. I purchased the iPhone this week, as I said in my last post. It is so much more advanced than all other phones out right now. Blackberry will need to do some serious regrouping if they plan to compete. I can only imagine what the next iPhone will be like. I can(for a cost of $30 a month) play all the games I want, search the internet and see pages like they were intended, and listen to the radio whenever I want..just to name a few of the things I have found this week that I really like.

I do miss my old phone's(HTC Cingular 8125) ability to download powerpoints to Microsoft PowerPoint Mobile, and the same with Word, but I think anything missing will be made up for in the App Store. I'm really starting to believe that once you are an Apple person you may not go back!

RIP 8125

I ordered the iPhone today. I'm not sure if it was the blog that did it to me or if it was the commercials or if I just got tired of the disfunctions with my Cingular 8125. More to come later on what I actually feel about the phone once I get it! AT&T has refurbished versions for $99, it just means that someone tried it and didn't like it so they returned it within the 30 days...pretty good deal!

Apple Business Seminars

This link is from Apple Hot News. It's an article about the free business seminars that Apple is offering. While they are of course promoting Apple products, they are offering helpful hints free, which I think is a good move for them.

Skype on the iPhone

This article talks about the use of Skype on the iPhone and how its use/non-use has been brought to the attention of the FCC. More to come on this topic I'm sure!

Good news for AT&T users...

CNET announced that the Apple iPhone is now available to users without a two year contract. Not a great deal, since the phone is still $599-$699 without a two-year contract. However, the part I am excited about is that some users are being offered the discount price even if they are not eligible for an upgrade. That's me! I am still a little weary though, because as Apple predictions go, they are usually on target. The next one is that a new iPhone may come out this summer. Either way I don't like that the iPhone has no keyboard other than a touch screen, but I'm curious to see what a new iPhone would look like.
