The following are what I found when I visited www.apple.com to look for a mission statement...right under the financials.
Apple's Commitment to the Environment
At Apple we recognize our responsibility to minimize the environmental impacts of our operations and products. More information may be found at Apple and the Environment.View the site
Responsible Supplier Management
Apple is committed to ensuring the highest standards of social responsibility in everything we do. The companies we do business with must provide safe working conditions, treat employees fairly, and use environmentally responsible manufacturing processes wherever Apple products are made. Under FAQ:
Q: What is Apple's mission statement?
A: Apple ignited the personal computer revolution in the 1970s with the Apple II and reinvented the personal computer in the 1980s with the Macintosh. Today, Apple continues to lead the industry in innovation with its award-winning computers, OS X operating system and iLife and professional applications. Apple is also spearheading the digital media revolution with its iPod portable music and video players and iTunes online store, and has entered the mobile phone market with its revolutionary iPhone.
No wonder it is a hidden mission statement..it only discusses products and the PAST...no goals, no shareholders, no philosophy or integrity concerns. They do cover the last issue in their above sections, but their mission statement should be reworked.
